She gets invited out for drinks afterward and takes the big step of trying to be social. Grief Counseling – Debbie attends a grief support group meeting and bonds with one man in the group. ![]() After Shapesmith cuts the tension with some antics, we get the small, cute, story arc about Rudy and Monster Girl going on a movie date, and Rudy experiencing a Burger and fries meal for the first time outside his robot body. Kate gets deep about how she and Immortal have both died countless times, bonding them. ![]() Rex (Jason Mantzoukas) has a confrontation with Dupli-Kate (Malese Jow) over her relationship with The Immortal (Ross Marquand). In the end, Allen is killed in his regenerative chamber by none other than Thaedus!ĭeath Mates – As the Allen portion of the episode ends, the story returns to the Guardians of the Globe on Earth. Allen refuses to submit and is beaten to near death by the Viltrumites. Allen stops for a night of lovemaking with his girlfriend Telia, but the next day, a trio of seasoned Viltrumite warriors arrives at Coalition HQ on Talescria demanding to know more about intel about Nolan's desertion of Earth, and his half-human son. Allen's mistake with Earth and Mark Grayson led to the GC getting its best chance yet to combat the Viltrumite threat.Īllen's Death – The present-day story finds Allen being tasked with Galactic Coalition leader Thaedus (Transformers' Peter Cullen) tasks Allen with finding a mole in the ranks, who is feeding information to the Viltrumites. Allen of course failed at that task and was eventually re-assigned to being a surveyor of planets on behalf of the galactic coalition. Comment below.Allen's Origin – In a surprising pivot, Invincible Season 2 Episode 3 leaves the scene of Mark and Amber consummation as a voiceover narrator leads us into the origin story of Allen The Alien (Seth Rogen), who gets a full origin story montage. He beats the monster, and Cecil informs Mark that Atlantis is calling it even since he saved the queen’s life. Instead of leaving the underground, Mark heads back to fight the monster and save the Atlanteans. Mark goes to battle against this big robotic fish and beats him to death.Ĭecil sends in some support, but all it does is free the giant monster from its chains. She enlightens him that they abolished the law long ago and tells him the new law is trial by combat. Mark must go underground to meet the Majesty to discuss the marriage. How does Invincible Season 2 Episode 2 end? His only way out is to marry the widow, and although Mark says he has a girlfriend, it can be for show. They have threatened to erase the eastern seaboard if they don’t handle this. Cecil tells Mark that since he isn’t around to face the charges, the sentence falls to his next of kin. The Atlanteans aren’t happy with how Omni-Man destroyed their planet. What new potential threat does Mark face? Ultimately, after a battle, Mark gets the best of the Doc and takes him down, making it back to the graduation. However, simultaneously, we see him battling with Doc Seismic, who is destroying the city. It’s High School Graduation, and Mark isn’t around, but Amber is optimistic because he promised to be there. In Episode 2, a potential new threat emerges for Mark in the form of the Atlanteans, and the Prime Video series continues to exhibit stellar pacing throughout this follow-up, proving that the high quality of the season premiere wasn’t a fluke. However, his mother is concerned about his mental health and checks in to find out what Cecil is doing to protect her son. With the school year over, Mark wants to dive head first into working with Cecil and the Guardians. ![]() Mark is being eased back into the fold with the Guardians in Invincible Season 2. The pacing continues to allow Mark’s character to develop in a way that makes him worthy of investment. ![]()
